No training for me for the last couple of days.
Have a had a very, very, sore throat and feeling pretty lousy.
Will have a couple of really solid training sessions over the week end. At least if i feel exhausted afterwards I can rest as i won't have to go straight to work after training.
Nearly a week into my Pre Pre Comp training. Feeling good that i have managed to stay on track with diet this week. No Alcohol - AMAZING for me! Monday i will weigh in.
I still need to tidy up my diet a bit more and get my training plan totally sorted.
For this I have recruited the help of an online program. In fact, from the place that started it all for me a few years ago. IBO. I have gone back to this particuilar program mainly for motivation and some good, honest, guidance. It's too easy when you follow your own training program and diet to choose the things you want to do, and the things you want to eat..........
I have decided to follow a pre prepared plan - that way I won't only be focusing on things that i like. I will also have to do some training that i am not so keen on, and eat some foods that might not be my favourites, but that i know WILL give me the results I want. Both with training and diet!!
Love the feeling that discipline gives me, and I am starting to feel that once more.

Day 3 - Keeping up the good work
Yay, today i got up early and before work did cardio and Triceps session.
Feeling good that i have held it together for 2 days without stuffing up diet.
Even managed to keep of the red wine and chocolate. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. what you can do when you are really focused. Think I really do have my mind back in the right zone.
I HAVE FOUND MY MOJO ONCE AGAIN.

Day TWO - Back to my morning playground
Yes, the weather is getting better, the days are getting longer and today i went back to the cliffs at Pt Elliot where i love to train. I spent a lot of mornings there last year whilst preparing for my last comp in October 2011.
A whopping 1,008 stair lunges. My goal was 1,000 and i beat it! Yes!
There is a particular wooden staircase where the steps are very wide. Well they are dirt steps actually with sleepers holding them in place. There is 47 of them and i used to go up and down them 10 times in a row. The most i have ever done is 12. Well today i did 20 runs up and down in a row. That made 940 stair lunges. Then to finish and make up to rest of the 1,000 i walked up along the cliffs and made use of a couple of other sets of stairs. Climbing up 2 steps at a time to make them into lunges rather than just step ups. Finishing off with a walk along the cliffs and that was my workout done and dusted for the day. 1 hour and 15 mins in a beautiful location on a beautiful sunny morning. What a way to start the day. MAGNIFICENT. As i said, my morning playground.

Day ONE - Monday 8th October 2012
Well here we go! It's time to get back on track again. It's been a year since my last Body Building Competition and even though I have maintained a reasonable level of training, the diet has been pretty slack to say the least. The weight has just been going up, up, up and the clothes have been getting tighter and tighter. Now here I am, 8 kilos heavier than this time last year. How very sad. :-(
Nevermind, I am finally in the right mind set and have set my goal. To be up on stage looking fabulous at the INBA Comp next April/May.
Today is the day I start my journey and get back into the shape I love to be.
So wish me luck, and if you are interested in following my story, I will try to post as often as possible. Having the opportunity to share my story helps to keep me focused on my goal, motivated and on track. As time goes on it will get harder so sharing my story will give me a reason to stay on task.
